The internet has been going in and out here at home and it's been driving me crazy. I've been doing overtime at work to try and get extra money but pushing myself to do over 100 hours for two weeks about killed me. I had to take a sick day the following week just to catch up on sleep. XD
My bed is breaking down AGAIN and causing me to have back problems, so I ordered a new frame because that is the only thing left that I can think of to do. This is like the 3rd mattress in 5 years and I'm really hoping that replacing the frame will fix it. I do not want to have to take meds and do physical therapy for my back.
And now, my family is bugging the crap out of me about this birthday party. It's going to be this big joint party for three of us, which is fine, if I actually WANTED a freaking party this year.

New Year, New Experiences
So the new year came upon me quietly, subtly one might say, and then it hit me like a sledgehammer. I decided I would wait a week after the new year before going back to martial arts because A) they had been closed until the new year and B) we are a bit behind at work so I figured I would work some late days. Within that first week, I found out that a very dear friend and coworker had been severely hurt and after five days of suffering, finally passed. This is truly the first death that I have experienced; my grandparents have passed away in the last few years but I had not seen them in ages so it was not such a huge shock.

I went to Botcon this year (after opting out last year) and met ~Ty-Chou (https://www.deviantart.com/ty-chou) halfway there so that we could road-trip it. I also met a few of her friends at the con and they were so nice and welcoming to me! It was awesome! Botcon had a special event at Universal Studios because of the movie coming out and so I went a little crazy in the Supply Vault (store). I also got some 'alternators' and toys while there, along with a bunch of comics and prints by a few of the IDW artists. I'll get those framed eventually. :D

I am one of those crazies who goes out shopping for Black Friday, but you see in my family it has become a tradition. We have been doing it for about 5 or more years now. We tried not to do it last year but my nephew looked so devastated that we realized he was correct when he said "but...it's tradition..." Predacons Rising - Zombie-con! Zombie-con!
So at the instistence of a few notable peeps in my life (ie. Ty-Chou and Baby-doll [my niece]), I started watching TFP. I literally just finished it, including the movie Predacons Rising. All I can say is that there were sooooooo many emotions running through me when it ended. I was happy that Megatron finally pulled his processor from his tailpipe, proud that Knockout has a few redeeming qualities, and heartbroken at the loss of a certain bot. I was hoping to do a fanfic for the series but now...I'm not so sure. Maybe once my brain has had time to process everything.
